Wash untreated wool as seldom as possible.

  • Lanacare wool layette
  • Light Grey Balaclava Double Layer LanaCare Organic Soft Merino Wool
  • Snow White Balaclava Double Layer LanaCare Organic Soft Merino Wool

Hang your wool outdoors to air it out.

When you want to wash your wool clothing if air-drying is not enough:

  • Place the wool in lukewarm water with hair shampoo or Lanolin soap – it softens the water and does not degrease the wool.
  • Let the wool soak in water for 5-10 minutes and stir carefully. Do not make heavy stirring or agitating with the wool as it would make your wool stiff.
  • Rinse in lukewarm water (NEVER use cold water because it can shock the wool fibers, resulting in shrinkage of the wool)
  • Roll your wool item into a towel, pressing out the excess water. Give the wool a quick, brisk shake.
  • Lay it to dry over a mild heat source.

LanaCare is currently working very hard to get a 100% pure Lanolin wool soap without paraben. As soon as it is ready, you will be able to buy it at BebeCannelle.com. Watch this space!
