The fantastic Wrapsody GypsyMama Wrap Baby Carriers have been designed by Kristi, a single mother to Morgaine, Orion, and Isaac. Kristi lives in Maine, USA.

Two of the Wrapsody baby carriers are named after her children: Morgaine gauze wrap and Orion gauze wrap.
Kristi is a strong supporter of attachment parenting. Babywearing helped her to better take care of her babies, practice gentle discipline and long-term breastfeeding.
Kristi is designing the pattern of the Wrapsody gauze and stretch wraps, then send them to Bali, Indonesia, where the patterns come to life on gorgeous soft cotton fabrics. The skilled workers are all working under fairtarde conditions to create the unique Wrapsody stretch and gauze wraps.
The color of the print is first painted on the entire wrap, then the pattern is traced with wax. After the wax hardens, the color is stripped from the wrap, and it remains only where the wax is. After stripping, the foreground color is applied to the entire wrap, and where the wax is, the color does not get absorbed by the fibers. Once the color is set, the entire wrap is boiled and the dye and wax are removed from the wrap, leaving the beautiful batiked colors behind. If the wax has a crack in it, the color is removed at the crack which explains some possible little marks on the wraps, proof that the Wrapsody carriers are not mass-produced but carefully handmade.

Kristi is definitely a babywearing guru. She can even carry two babies at the same time in two gauze wraps! Her son on the front is carried in Orion and her child on her back is in Morgaine. Wow!
